Amsterdam, Netherlands – Part 2

Jon and I were lucky enough to have a few extra days in Amsterdam after visiting the many tour attractions with my sister. Having this extra time allowed us to visit the nearby city The Hague and treat ourselves to a fancy seafood dinner.

Prague, Czech Republic

Prague is a city that we’ve heard wonderful things about for years and were excited to visit. It may not be as cheap and untouched as it was 10 years ago when American tourists started to visit by the thousands, but the city is still charming with its old world beauty and authentic cuisine.

Takayama, Japan (高山市)

Often while traveling we discover that we are a day too early or too late for a special event in a given city. By luck, our visit to Takayama coincided with the two-day Spring Festival, which is considered one of the most beautiful festivals in Japan.

Yokosuka, Japan (横須賀市)

Yokosuka is best known throughout Japan for having a large American Naval Base. For us, Yokosuka was a place to visit our friends for a wonderful introduction to Japan, where we would be spending the next three weeks.

Phuket, Thailand

Phuket used to be the go to island off of the coast of Thailand. In recent years, some parts gained a reputation for being crowded and sleazy. Still, Phuket is one of the largest islands and a great transportation hub for the rest of the Andaman Sea, so we spent two nights on the island.…
